Property Overview

In 1999, MDC Properties and its partner purchased a two-story 9,025 sq.ft. limestone building constructed in 1890 at the SWC of La Grange Rd. and Burlington Ave, a prominent stop-light corner in downtown La Grange across from the commuter train station depot. MDC coordinated major improvements to the roof, facade and interior of the structure, renewed a lease with the second floor tenant and secured new leases with three first floor tenants.

Tenants in the building include Fannie May Candies (since 1935), Primal Oceans Salt Cave, Impact Dance Studio and GLS Salon. Downtown La Grange was named the best suburban downtown in the metropolitan area by Chicago Magazine in 2009.
